Well we're movin on up,
To the east side.
To a deluxe apartment in the sky..

...or to a quaint house in the 'burbs!!

We've initialed and signed a gazillion papers, handed over our first born, negotiated inspection, and will be homeowners as of September 15th!!
Can I get a woot woot?
no? ok.

I made my inaugural trip to Furnitureland South with my mom yesterday down here in NC. It was overwhelming, to say the least. It is over a million square feet of furniture, my legs were exhausted when the day was over. I didn't purchase anything but I did find some brands (furniture brands?) that are reasonably priced and our style. We are looking for a sofa & loveseat for the family room and a bedroom set for our room. It's all very exciting, I cannot wait to have our own home. I'm not looking forward to being responsible for all repairs, as we may be looking at a new roof in about 3 years. We were busting out of the seams at our 2 bedroom apartment, my husband and I were literally renting out space from Saige.

Unfortunately, since we are moving from one side of the Schuylkill River to the other, I need to find a new daycare option for S. She currently goes to a woman's home who watches about 7 kids...and I love the arrangement. It is right on my way to work, affordable ($35/day, who could beat that?!), and S has really adjusted nicely. She was only going 2-3x a week last school year as my mom watched her 1-2 days and my MIL came on Fridays. This coming school year we need full-time care as neither of our moms can make the commitment again, which I understand. It was a lot for both of them to make the 1 1/2 hr drive each week. So I have been researching my options, whether it be a daycare or an in-home sitter. I just hope it will be an easy transition for S, because it will be tough enough to have me not with her every day as I have been this summer.

Yikes..that was a bit of a debby downer post. Sorry peeps.

Sorry, catching up on old posts! Just realized you live in NC (and maybe near FLS). You may not be comfortable posting on the internet, but we live nearby. My husband works in the same town as FLS and we live in the next town about 20 min East on 85 (trying to keep it ambiguous for those creapos!) Maybe we'll run into each other sometime!

I used to blog, though never got into a groove with it, but I stopped when I was dying of morning sickness and trying to keep my pregnancy a secret still. I keep debating about getting back into it, but not sure I can keep up with it.
